30-Day Declutter Challenge

There's an ever-present contention in my mind between keeping stuff versus letting it go. While my environmentalist side thinks I should keep things in hopes of later use, my minimalist side desires to let items go.

The truth is that decluttering, minimalism, and zero-waste are not entirely against each other. They are all focused on reduction - owning less, needing less, using what you have.

Today I want to focus on the first part: Decluttering.

Clutter plays a significant role in how we feel about our home, workplace, and ourselves. It is often a cause of anxiety and stress because it makes it more challenging to relax physically and mentally.

Our brain is bombarded with excessive stimuli (visual, olfactory, tactile), causing our senses to work overtime in stimuli that aren't necessary or important.

Fortunately, unlike other sources of stress (our jobs, our relationships), clutter is one of the easiest life stressors to fix.

That's why I'm sharing with you this 30-day Declutter Challenge.

You can spend only 15 minutes a day on each prompt if you want. It might take you longer than 30 days, and that's okay, do what works for you.

How can I get rid of my clutter in the most environmentally friendly way?

I'm glad you asked.

If you're ready to let go of your things, there's a way to do it without mindlessly throwing things into your garbage bin.

We'll talk about it next week, so stay tuned :)
