I feel like this floss cleans between my teeth and rubs my gums better than the slippery petroleum-based Glide type I was using made of PTFE. I'm okay with using less polytetrafluoroethylene in my mouth. The vegan floss works best for me if every few teeth I move along the string and coil another round on my finger, like the dental hygienist. That way it won't break on tightly spaced teeth.
